My new SX50 arrived yesterday afternoon. Unfortunately, yesterday was totally overcast and rainy. It is sunny outside today, so I went out in the back yard to test it. Luckily for me, this little guy wanted to ham it up for the camera! :D

Thank you Rocky, Jim, KTJohnson.

It is quite a bit different from my two DSLRs, but so far, it is a hoot to mess around with! :D

I have to chuckle, I bought one for my wife. At times there is a shoving match on who is going to use it. LOL Esp. if I know I'm going to be doing close ups like around the yard.

Looks like you hit the ground running - no learning curve needed for HowardPepper :)

I hardly put down my SX50 for the first 6 months I owned it. Have fun!

Nice job. I love the second one. I carry my SX50 everywhere I go. It's an easy camera to learn. It cannot compete with top of the line lenses on a good dslr but if you shoot in raw and PP the results will be close.
