I am heading to Sanibel Island for a week. Does anyone have any tips on shooting landscapes and wildlife there?
I use to live in FtMeyers so I fairly well know Sanibel... Actually Sanibel is not a large Island and you can probably drive from end to end in 15 /20 minutes.... So, all you need to do is just start at the south end where the light house is , and just work your way north to South Seas Plantation resort which will take care of a number of images on your camera.... Good resturants, senic views, you're in heaven....
BTY, the orginal Ronald McDonald has a lil shack there, so say hi if you see him...
Enjoy
Don't forget the Ding Darling Preserve.

Check out the Burrowing Owls in Cape Coral They are everywhere there Start at the Library. Anything you do on Sanibel burns up time I think the entire Island is 25mph and enforced. Enjoy!
Make sure to check out Captiva as well, beautiful landscaping on the homes there. Also go shelling early in the morning and watch for the dolphins right off shore. It is the most beautiful place! If you like to ride bike, that is a great way to get around.
Don't forget to take jackets and long pants/jeans. Even tho' it's Florida, it can still get cold this time of the year. I know that you are from Minnesota, and cold to you is different, but below freezing is still pretty chilly!
The best shelling beach in the world !!! Chance for some good closeups of the ocean's treasures !!!

Dont forget the CP filter for out on the beach. My favorite beach spots are Lighthouse beach and at the very end of Captiva.
