After a rather fretfull day...the moon in the early evening sky surrounded by the pink clouds was a welcomed site.

do you mind me asking what settings/lens you used? I've been attempting some shots, but don't get that detail..
thanks!

the first: 140mm Iso200, f4.8 1/50sec
all the others 300mm iso 200 f5.6 1/50sec
In pp I did crop quite a bit, played with the tone curve, added clarity, contrast, pulled the exposure down, slid the blacks up...yadda,yadda,yadda.
Very nice. I wanted to shoot tonight's moon but... it didn't happen.
gonna rain it pour'n water
Very nice. Must try it when the clouds are visible.
#3 almost looks like the crescent moon and clouds that Dreamworks puts at the beginning of their films. The only thing missing is the boy with his fishing gear.

I like the clouds in the shot too. Detracts from the fact that the moon isn't razor sharp. Darn VR was off...and I was shooting handheld. My new camera is too heavy for my tripod...I have to upgrade....

I thought there was something very familiar about this photo...hadn't thought of that. Thanks for the complement.
