This is an excellent shot. It is not only very sharp, but the details and colors are perfect. Nice work.

And oft when on my couch I lie,
In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye,
Which is the bliss of solitude
And then my heart with pleasure fills
And dances with those daffodils.

From memory from school learning about 1954
One of my favourite poems to complement a beautiful picture.

Cheers nairiam. I agree, it is a beautiful poem, and for me poetry is photography in words.

Just a little bit of photoshop and you could have a nice sky in the picture.

You illustrated the poem 'Daffodils' perfectly. With the muted colors of the background the daffodils really stand out. Well done.

Great field. I would love to see it from an upstairs room of that manor house.

I love that poem, Geoff! I had a mother who instilled her love of poetry in me! And I love all those daffodils! There's a place up the road aways that planted "zillions" of daffodils, too, and I'm going to have to go hunt them up and see if I can get some shots! Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for your kind words S1, Poetry is such an inspiration, and to try and capture it in a picture is always a challenge.

Thnaks for you input AM,Sadly all the windows in the house are old impure glass and all closed, so it was virtually impossible to get a reasonable shot from inside.
