Has anybody used this lens as lfound one for $220 with Hoya filter is it worthy or not will appreciate some feedback
Thanks

It is offered for over $400 usually. So the price sounds good. I have not used it myself, but it has a decent reputation as a utility event lens. At $220, I would be tempted to get it. Even if it does not work out, I would not be out much (as lens prices go)

What are your plans with it? Not a true macro lens, but it does a good job with close up. I believe it is about 1:3(ish) for "macro" It is a sharp lens, at least my copy is. I've heard a lot of people love it, but I've also heard like any lens, some get bad copies. I had to do a focus compensation on it of -5 to get "tack sharp" but the quality was actuall OK out of the box. As a matter of fact, my 70-300 Nikon lens took -19.
Does your camera have focus compensation? I've found that it does help to take the time to dial in all my lenses. Some say to avoid it, and that focus is usually just operator error, which may be true, but focus fine tune or whatever you call it, has helped my images get to where I want them to be.
I do know one photographer that uses one for weddings. It has a very good reputation and is quite popular.
Thinking a little more about. The Hoya filter has to be worth a least $50. At $220, if it is in good condition, you should jump on it.
