Late in the day the water turned to gold and a lone paddleboarder enjoyed the solitude in nature.
Nice shot. I think the composition is fine.
Thank you for taking the time to give me your input. Would you have put the horizon at 1/3 position and the paddleboarder at another 1/3? Or were you thinking of something else?
Brent Harder I know this has nothing to do with your picture. But are you related to Brian Harder
looks calm and quiet just what you need in a bustlin city life!
I think the term is "surban"! lol Not city, but not country.

Hey Brent, he should have been on the 1/3 on the right side of your photo. It always looks better when your subject is looking as if it is going toward something and not off the side of the photo. It is what we always do on tv unless they are coming straight at you.

I dont know anything (about much) but if it were mine I would trom a little off the bottom and left hand side of the photocraph and the instead of being great it would be a winner

Dont know why but it always seems more natural for things to look like they are going left to right on a picture
Thank you. What about the 1/3 rule? Or pushing the main subject towards the edge even more like awana was telling me not to do? I guess if you ask 5 people you will get 5 answers, right? Everyone has their own tastes and preferences. I respect all of your input, then bounce it around in my mind and retain it for future shots. Thank you all for taking the time to share your thoughts.
