I love UHH but have not been able to spend much time on this website for a few months. I am hoping that will change at the end of this week. First of all, I had surgery for kidney cancer in December. All went well and I have been declared cancer free. Then we had two deaths in our family, both younger than me, both unexpected. Each one just wiped me out and I had very little energy or time to participate. The weather also contributed to my hibernating as it was cold and snowy like it has been for many of you.

This week I am retiring 48 years to the day that I started working (which has made me very busy preparing for departure). To celebrate that milestone I gave myself a gift of a new camera which I hope to really use a lot and participate on UHH . The first two days after retirement will be camera events and classes. The class is one coming into town. The event will be to go to the Twin Cities Camera Clubs Spring Fling. Because I am on the mailing list for that I got a notice of free software. You have no idea how your photo's encouraged me during these last dark months. Even though I did not comment I received a lot of joy from the pictures and the banter back and forth. Really enjoyed it.
