Thanks Dlevon... I have posted many moon shots on UHH... I think people are starting to get tired of me always mooning them... or something like that...

Nice shot , Bruce. Had a Dynamax 6, I think over 30 years ago.Bought it cause I was tired of making my own scopes. It was a great old scope till I sold it. I have an old moon eclipse picture I took with it and I'll have to see if I an find it. It was a chore in the old pre-digital days LOL! Now have an 8 ' Celestron. Amazing what you can do and see with today's scopes with the go-to features. Thanks for sharing and please keep sharing, and many more enjoyable nights for you!

Amazing how we can afford equipment that in 1900 would have been expensive state of the art. Equally as amazing your can use software to clean and share.

Great detailed shot. Now night after night you can sit and wait to find a change, perhaps you might!

Wow, that certainly is powerful lens, All my photos of the Moon have to be cropped 100% before I can see any detail and then cropped again...
Moon photos are always good to look at!

Thanks ejrmaine... getting a good moon shot is like catching a fish in the river, during a flood stage, on a hot summer day, with a bare hook! But if you try long enough, you will eventually catch one!

P.S. Mildly Exaggerated...

Here is another moon close up... no HDR, no Stacking, just cropped and some PP sharpening... photo taken on a really good night for seeing in my back yard...
EXIF: Canon 40D camera body + Dynamax 8 telescope (2110mm) used as lens; ISO 200 at 1/90th second...

Good shot, I bet you can get some good close ups (in the next county) with that telescope on the end of your camera.
