recently someone posted asking if and why folks use PP. Well this is an example - not a good one, but at least an example.
The figures are a collection that I painted last year blended together in layers, probably 12 or 15 photos. Between the layers I used photoshop smoke to attempt to provide atmosphere and distance between them.
The sky is computer generated via a program called Terragen 2.
The fractal background is generated by a free program called MB3D using parameters shared by Lenord.
And then I mashed a number of buttons in Nik software to try to better integrate the layers together.
So anyway... I use photoshop (not very well) not to "fix" an image, but (since I can't paint) to assist in creating something new - and for FUN!
Looks very organic and real to me. certainly very creative and NEW! Would use that for a game or such.
Impressive and I'd suggest to viewers to download. There is just so much going on, its just a menagerie for the mind--the story, the mood, the layers, the art.
Thank you Indi, Alde, Highspeed, and Carlysue.
I like the small version. when you download, you see every mistake imaginable!!!!

    Very good imagnation - use of software - use of color and atmosphere.
Quite weird....I like it.
I don't know what I did to get my reply in the body of your post, sorry about that. It really is good you know.

wow!! Is that super cool it could go for one of those games they sell wow!!!
Thank you guys, nanavel, photoman, Sirius, Tadpole and Mile. You guys are very kind! I had no way expected such a nice reception to this.
Mistakes -- the biggest one was not being good at making selections in PS. And part of that was taking pictures of the troops on a dark background. A colored piece of paper might have worked better.
If I do one of these again (it took me 7 or 8 hours), I'll check out existing artwork and try to come up with a better composition than a straight line. Perhaps in the fore-ground have larger up close images of some action.
Anyway, thank you very much, and now I'm off trying to figure out how to get a decent photo of my motorbike. I'll turn that into my Avatar if I can do a decent job!!
