Thanks so much everyone, glad you like the Miner's Lettuce. The 49er gold miners in California used to eat them in springtime, hence the name. At least that's what I have heard. I'm in Oregon but was delighted to find that they grow on my place. They taste OK, but I stick to lettuce and spinach for my own salad bowl. :P
