Nice shot, but just being on the Ross Island Bridge, on foot, would be pretty scary to me.

Great shot! Really appreciate it on download.

The first time I drove through Portland, it was the number of bridges that hit me. It is really an amazing labyrinth of water hoppers.

I know what you mean. The traffic seemed awfully close and seemed to be travelling very fast - especially the big trucks. I brought a tripod with me onto the bridge, but the bridge was vibrating so much from the traffic, I had to wait until the traffic died down to take a shot.

Portland? I suppose you're speaking of the namesake of Portland, Maine.

Thanks for the memory. I spent a week in Portland two years ago and was able to take a trip on the Willamette River one day. A great city, wished I could have stayed another fsw years

It's unusual in that it will only handle busses, pedestrians, bicycles, etc - no cars. (At least that what several locals told me)

It is being built basically for the "Max" train, a people mover in Portland and the surrounding area. It will also have an area for walking and bicycles.
