Never had a Northern Flicker at my feeder for 24 years until this year. He hung around all winter

Great series Big Guy, this winters bird patterns have been strange to say the least. This is the first year that I've seen cedar wax wings here in 25 years so I understand exactly the rarity.

Great set of shots. Flickers don't stay in one spot very long, always moving.

Great shot Big Guy, well done. I think they are the most beautiful bird I have ever seen. I use to have them in Central Florida, but have never seen one in South Florida. Thanks for sharing

Terrific feather detail and color - well done.

I usually only see them amongst hundreds of branches, not close up and in the open.

What lens did you use?

Thanks Allen I just have an inexpensive pocket camera that takes pretty good pictures. Someday hope to purchase a much better one
