In Scott Kelby's book on Lightroom 5 (which is very informative) he mentions that you can place "Photo" text ( not "Page" text) the on the front cover of the book.
It is grayed out under text options on the cover page (but not on the individual pages )
Has anyone been able to do this. Just trying to figure out if it is a flaw in his book or I have not turned something one.
Thanks

I'm not quite sure what the problem is but I do know you can Photo Text. LR has 3 options for adding text: template text cells, photo text and page text. Why the function is grayed out under the text options is a mystery. Are you accessing the option by using the Text Panel??
Thank you for replying.
Yes, I am. I have been to Book Preferences, everywhere.
"photo text" is only grayed out on the Front Page, not the pages within the book. I have not tried it on the Back Page.
"page text" is not grayed out.
I searched the web and all it talks about is putting it on a Page.
I just want to know if anyone has actually put Photo Text on the Front cover page.
I figured it out. Kelby's book just did not word it the way I would have.
A tiny tiny bar appears that you can barely read that say photo text. you have to click on it first and then it checks the option...a little backword to me, but it worked.
