Has anyone had any experience with the SONY Zeiss Planar T 50mm/1.4 lens? I am considering buying it. Thanks.

Hi all.
I have been judiciously adding Sony shooters to my buddy list wherever I see them. I now have 82 in my list. We are growing.
Please add me! Sick and tired of all the Nikon and Cannon posts. Nice to find a site dedicated to Sony. I got my Slt a65 the day it was released and haven't looked back.
I just bought the Sigma 50-500 lens. All of the pictures I have taken have been razor sharp except when it is at infinity focus. Any suggestions?

Sigma offers what they call a USB Dock for $59 that allows you to fine tune your Sigma lens to your camera. It would be nice if you could rent one.

Sony a580 is the best all around camera Sony ever made!
Thanks. I will check it out.

I shoot now with an RX-10, and I have an F717 from 2002 that still works great.

^^^^Another satisfied Sony Shooter. ;) Welcome aboard!
I have lots of old minoltas and am hoping to pull the trigger on the a7r. I will have to go through my old lenses and see which ones might be worth using on the new camera. I know there is no image stabilization in the camera. I think I will follow this forum. Norm

You might want to do some double checking, The a7r is an E-Mount...it won't work with your Minolta lenses unless you get an adapter.

Opinion please...i just received the wrong product from Beach Audio via Fed-Ex. I ordered the HVL-F43AM flash for my A77 (just talked to Sony - said they are discontinued...explains why I had a hard time finding one), but received the HVL-F43M instead. Because of this, the flash will not fit on my hotshoe. Would it be better to get the flash sent back and replaced or get an adapter (preferably for free since it wasn't my fault) to make the flash fit?

I also have the A65 (and the A35 and the A230) and I love it.
Yep...the Canon vs Nikon debate gets a little old LOL! As does the constant Canikon worshipping. I saw this somewhere and it can also be applied to cameras... A machine is just nuts and bolts and is only as good as the nut running it.
