They are both quite good, but the reduction in the density of the background and the textural change created by the filter are not as pleasing to me.

I like it! I may have moved the wine in behind the squash to fill that dip but I really like the shot and I really like the enhancing. What app and filters please. Thanx Emma

Thanks wylie, I tried the wine by the squash but didn't like it . The picture felt to heavy on the left then , this I felt gave it balance.
I used ps6 with a texture added then I added oil paint filter from ps6, Lightroom I did miner clarity and sharpening adjustments.
