From the Ohio Vietnam Veterans Memorial near Canton, Ohio. As stunning as The Wall in D.C.

On the statue's brass plaque describing the sculptor's conceptual origin for the nurse being kissed by the Sailer in Times Square on hearing about the unconditional surrender of the Japanese is there a mention of who created the original photographic documentary image. It was the brilliant Life Magazine staff photographer Alfred Eisensteadt. Why isn't that mentioned on the plaque? Or is there a separate credit not recorded here?
Iwo Jima National Monument, Newington, CT.
Rather a shame that no photo credit is given to Alfred Eisendstadt, who took the famous photograph in Times Square that the sculptor used to create his work but at least Jo Reisenthal is given credit for taking the the photo that inspired the Iwo Jima monument. Any one care to comment on the discrepancy?

Two different views of same statue. Nelsons Column in Trafalgar Square during and after cleaning.

I used this one as the background for "In Flanders Fields" in a Veterans Day memorial slide show. For me, it recalled the chill, the exposure felt on predawn picket duty.

I enjoy capturing images of sculptures and statues. Anyone has such an interest?
Here are a couple or more of mine. They are not traditional.
I'd love to see the work of others in this area.

Here's one from the Anthropology and History Museum in San Pedro Sula, Honduras. Worth more than every penny of the equivalent of $2 entry fee!
