Do most of you use the active D feature on your late model nikons??
Do you leave it active all the time or select it when necessary??? Bill

I use it in high contrast situations, when HDR is not feasible.

I don't use it because it increases the time between the pictures I can take. I do weddings, so I have to be able to take pictures fast, and as much as I would like to use it, it slows down my camera too much...

I also use it selectively. Don't use in studio and sports shooting. Most turn it on when I am shooting landscapes or outdoor shots. I don't use for sports or wildlife because as mentioned above it slows down the cameras FPS shooting....

I'd rather do it myself in Camera Raw.
Vibrance, clarity and saturation get me a long ways.
The rest in CS5.
