great shot. question, my primary lens is tamron 18-270, whn is use my 1.4 extender It doesent seem to extend the lens at all is that because of using a long lens - or because of me.

First of all you need to find out if your lens can exist with a 1.4X, not all lenses can. Second all lenses have a limit. I use my extender to make close shots, seem closer and I get better detail. I don't expect my lens to have clear shots at great distances. This of course is for shooting birds.
