Is it a good camera for a new beginer of dslr
I can speak from experience that any Canon DSLR is a good place to start, and end.
I'm looking forward to my next body which will be a 5D Mark III.
I have a T3i. You can start out on full auto, and take your time learning exposure (if you don't already know it) and other details. With my previous Canon SLR Rebel, I happily used just the 18-55 mm kit lens for four years!

I have the 600d and have had it for nearly two yrs, and I find it tops, also the 18x55 kit lens is good, however the 55x250,is a little slow on auto focus, I believe the STM quality is however much faster,
the quality of the 55x250 is however quite good, and as a new comer to DSL photography, a very good one to lrarn the ropes.
once you find out what you really like to photograph, the way to go is to update your lenses to what you require.as I am trying to get some small bird photos, that's why I would like a faster lens, but if that is not your requirement, you will find it real good,

Hi. I have the 550d & have got some excellent shots( in my opinion) from it. I know the 600 runs the same software & has the added advantage of the movable screen. You should been fine with it.Happy snapping
I've had a T3i for quite some time and it has proved to be an excellent camera. I put a Canon 18-135mm lens on mine and never take it off.

This is an excellent camera. The best thing I did for myself is to use the AUTO setting at first and find out how to set the camera to use Back Button Focus. It has been talked about here on UHH over and over a simple search will bring up all of the info you need.
Good luck and learn learn learn.

Yes, I have a 60D and 6D, prefer The 6D full frame though.
:) :)
I have one as my first (and so far, only) DSLR. Does everything I ever asked of it. I love that I can twist the LCD so I can see it when I'm shooting mushrooms in macro. If I'd had the cash, I MIGHT have gone for the T5i because of the touch-screen menus but I'm very happy with my T3i and I had some leftover cash to put towards a macro lens.

My T3i is the first DSLR I've ever owned, and have learned on it and love it and what it can do, of course it's taken me nearly a year so far and I'm still learning. They say your first 10,000 pictures are your worst. LOL
I loved my T3i, my daughter uses it now. I'll tell you the same thing I tell anyone looking at the T3i. If you can spend a couple of hundred more buy the body only and add the Tamron 18-270 or Sigma 18-250 lens. Either of those lenses will serve you better than the 18-55 that comes with the camera.
Has anyone here with the T3i used Magic Lantern on your camera. Your thought and comments could be an interesting line of thought
