Just discovered this board. Usually read Peta Pixel and FStopper but this seems a bit more cozy, as it were.
I've been taking photos since I was ten years old. Had a Sears box camera taking 120 film, and I started developing my own film at 12.
Lived in the UK from 1970 until 1980. Had a Practica LTL with a Zeiss lens. Loved that camera though it sounded like a tractor shifting gears when the shutter fired.
Went through some none serious film cameras and then got a P&S Fuji digital.
Started taking photos again semi seriously in 2005 when I was given a Canon Rebel by a photographer I was assisting.
Now have a Canon 70D with the 18-135 kit lens, a Sigma 105 and Sigma 30mm.
Shoot stills, mostly for pleasure and video (with the Canon) for work - Interviews only, nothing particularly creative.
I travel as much as I can, but mostly to France, because there's good wine, great food, good public transport (when there aren't strikes), and nice people.
Welcome to the Hog. I work at 20th and Market - where are you?
We're in Northern Liberties.
Welcome from a neighbor in NJ. Hope to see some of your photos in the future.

Welcome to UHH, glad you found us. I too remember dial phones and the Sears catalog. Guess that pretty much dates me. Have fun, enjoy the forum and post some of your images.
