Getting the 7D ready for the spring season.
As the weather warms, birds are preparing for spring. When that happens, we can expect a lot of activity and many chances at in flight shots. The majority of my pictures have been taken with my 6D lately but if I'm going to pursue BIFs in the near future, I had better dust off the 7D and see what settings I'm going to use. My friend Harvey and I decided to do a little target practice this morning but more so to see what settings would produce the best results on our 'action cameras.'
Here are the results. A little more tweaking in the next few days and we should be ready.

Beautiful photographs. I enjoyed them. I agree they're crisp, clear and nicely saturate colors. What lens are you using and at what focal length?

Here's hoping one day my shots look half as good as your shots. Great set as usual. Rlaugh, we have to quit meeting like this. :-) oh, btw, I did post some pictures as promised under the post of "What the flock?" Go check them out if you have the time. Cheers

Wonderful photos Joe!
I have never seen a snow bunting either. I am right behind you with my 7D (love that camera). Will be practising what we discussed. Hopefully I get some good shots.
I also have to get busy with the 7D and the 70-300 Tamron. Been using the T3i lately with the canon 18-135 lens. In the spring I will start carrying both with me....Rich
