Such nice work, and you know the state so well. When I finally have time to travel (y'know, someday) I will have your photos in mind as inspiration.

Thank you very much, I have used Nikons since the rangefinder days but on the last picture the battery on the Nikon went dead so I used my wifes Panasonic.

Thank you very much for your comment. I hope you can make it some day it's an awesome place. I first started going there at the time Alaska became a state and I just fell in love with the place.

Wonderful deep color, blacks. Never saw sunsets like that when I went to Alaska. I wasn't into photography then as I am now. It was more being into eating. lol

Wonderful set but #3 does it for me. The sky's reflected light on the water with the separation of the mountains is great. Great series.

These are great! I certainly agree with you about the quality of Alaska sunrises and sunsets when the weather cooperates. In fact, the only photo I have of the normally-tropical "green flash" was one I took from a cruise ship of a sunset in the Gulf of Alaska!
