America is powerless. Unsure where/when/if Europe/UN will intervene - if at all. Putin knows this is a win-win for Russia; he regrets the collapse of the old Soviet Union and wants it "back to the good old days" of autocratic rule. Feel for you, Apache. May God bless those in Ukraine - things are not looking good.

UN won't do anything Russia has a veto to anything that the security council may propose.

I agree. I don´t think Europe will intervene. The people of Ukraine is in an ugly situation.

As of now Europe has no legal authority to intervene. If, however, Ukraine asked for membership in NATO and was accepted there would be. Talk about getting Putin's shorts in a bunch. :!: :x

Blurry, just b/c we don't like what is happening doesn't mean Europe agrees with us. Remember where they have been getting their fuel and how much they have been paying, Russian oil means Europe can tell the Arabs to get the hell out and let the Europeans take back their homelands. And they will follow the Americans who have yet to be over-run? Russia is part of Europe, and the last I read was the Americans used to live there and decided to leave. And since 1973 the US hasn't exactly been a leading exporter of oil to Europe. Europe's high energy prices will cause them to jump to accept the Russian presence in their community. Putin has mountains of money to throw at Europe, and his recent successes are making him an attractive partner . I might imagine the dinner where Mr. Putin praises Mr. Snowden for helping the rest of the world realize just how inept and totally unprepared the American community organizer was and continues to be. It won't be the Russians who are threatening to veto anything in the Security Council.
