Red Headed Woodpecker

This is the first red headed woodpecker we've seen in our area. I'm sure there are many, we were at Chester Frost Park. In the last shot he pulled a worm-like thing out of a hole he drilled in the tree, and it got stuck on his beak for a while.

Great pictures. I see more and more great photos with the SX50. That woodpecker is hard to find. Especially like #1.

Really beautiful! #3 is amazing - it says 2.5 digital zoom. How achieve that?

Thank you, Linda! I don't know, I just was on Auto and was shooting at 125x and 155x.

Linda, Linda ,Linda...the camera goes to 4x optical in digital.
50 x 2.5=125 digital...
I think...lol
