Business is going to take me to Chilliwack, B.C. in a few weeks and I should have a Sunday off for sightseeing and photo ops. Any suggestions?

Hoping you will have your own transportation?
First stop: Tourism BC in Chilliwack:
Address: 44150 Luckakuck Way, Chilliwack, BC V2R 4A7
Phone: (604) 858-8121
Hours: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm

This could be helpful too:

The tourist office not only can tell you what can find in the brochures and on websites, they can also help you with current openings, availabilities, costs, etc. On our trips we have found all the staff in all the tourist offices to be more than helpful, although living about 1 1/4 hours west of Chilliwack, I'm afraid we've never stopped at that one.

Thanks Morningstar. I will have my own car, so your suggestion is a GREAT idea.

Your not far from Vancouver, there's lots of good photo ops there. Also up the Trans Canada Highway, I believe it somewhat follows the Fraser River valley.

Can you be more specific? I'm not familiar with the city or area at all.

Sorry it has taken a couple of days to get back on here, have been really busy though.

It would be a bit of a drive but up the Trans-Canada Highway to "Hells Gate Airtram" is a good one. The Tram goes down the gorge to a dam and there is a good Candy and Sweet Shop at the bottom. The Highway follows the Fraser River and has numerous opportunities.
In Vancouver either of the ferry terminals, (Horseshoe Bay and Tswasswnen) are good. Capilano swinging bridge is awesome also in North Vancouver. Downtown has several places for Architecture. There are numerous places along any of the routes. Stop at one of the tourist info booths for maps and ideas.
Hope this helps.

Minor correction: look up on a map just where the ferry terminals are. Horseshoe Bay is north-west of Vancouver, reachable via Highway 1. Some good photo ops right there in the village. Pay attention to the road-signs so you won't end up in the ferry line if you have no intention of sailing.
Tsawwassen is south-west of Vancouver, reachable via Highways 10 and/or 17. The ferry terminal itself, in my opinion does not offer many photo ops, but if you have the time, and the weather is decent, park the car and board the ferry to Swartz Bay north of Victoria as a walk-on passenger. The ferry goes between the Gulf Islands and offers some really good photo ops. If you're lucky, you might even get a live orca-show. Take the same ferry back - not much to do at or around the terminal, unless that has changed drastically in recent years.
