so Old Testament, then?
Never read it. What's your point?

Again, you are making one of my points for me. As I said, too many people are relying on the mass media for their talking points and to shape their perceptions of reality rather than thinking for themselves.
The Germans killed people in gas chambers. The Romans crucified people. The Aztecs engaged in ritual human sacrifice. The Old Testament is full of stories of murder, torture and slaughter. The US fire-bombed civilian neighborhoods in Japan. All are horrific.
We "moderates" are taking a stand - against the murderous fanatics among us right here.

See where the "turn- the- other- cheek" gets you. After the next 9/11 type attack the "turn- the- other- cheek" crowd will be crying "Why didn't we do something to prevent this?" What are you gonna tell them?
I would tell them we should not have listened to people like you, who are advocating all out holy war against over a billion people, while creating hysteria that has led to a police state climate where the government is spying on all of us, and instead we should have worked with the Muslim community here and abroad to identify and apprehend the tiny handful of people who are actually a threat.

Both your facts and reasoning are lacking. The terrorists and militants are not a "tiny handful." They are substantial, they are following the teachings of Islam, they are financially supported by major Muslim states such as Syria and Iran, and they have wide support from so-called "moderate" Muslims. You also make a monstrous error in logic in implying that we can "work with the Muslim" community to somehow stop the threat. Those who would "work with" the infidels are either useless or are militants involved in misleading the infidels. As advocated in the Koran and other Islamic teachings.

Once again a thread in UHH which just might have sparked a rational discussion has deteriorated into mainly drivel. No major religion should be condemned on the basis of a few outliers' actions. Let's remember that the pogroms against Jews in Russia, Poland and elsewhere were justified by demonizing the Jewish population and the vicious actions were carried out with the approval of the Christian church authorities and by the Christian populations.
The Nazi horrors were essentially ignored by the German church, with a few notable, heroic, exceptions. Hitler and his horrendous ideology co-opted Christianity for his evil purposes.
No religion has a monopoly on truth or on righteousness. No religion is immune to the siren call of extremism. Can anyone cite a religion which has never persecuted others?

Saudi Arabia, a close ally of the US, is the main source of radical fundamentalism in the Islamic world. Islamic extremists are fighting against the Syrian regime, with US backing.
I guess you are unable to see that you are doing exactly what you accuse others of doing.

 "Spiritual journey." That is funny.
According to you, Muslims (all of them) see all non-Muslims as the enemy, based on religious affiliation.
You say that all Moslems are your enemy, based on their religious affiliation.
You justify the second position with the first position. All you are doing is looking in the mirror. Pot, meet kettle, etc.

Obviously (you must see the point, I think you are playing with me now) no one religion or one people has a monopoly on terrorism.

Man!!, the lack of education, intelligence, and understanding!, is appalling in this thread.
Muslims are nobodies friend, not even those who are Muslim. They hate their own, and kill them. Now just how far do you think!, you are going in a friendship with them.
GEEEEEZZZZZ LOUISE.
Pounder... other forces will never stop trying to kill us. It's ingrained in their brains since they were little kids to hate the Americans. I'm just an idjit, but I'd like to understand more about their POV.

Muslim POV is not hard to understand. Any dead Infidel, (which is any non Muslim) is a good infidel. Simple. :)

A tall skinny one that rode his last camel just before SEAL Team Six showed up. I'd love to see the look on one of those suicide bombers face when they see what's waiting on them in "Heaven".
