I have been using a point and shoot Lumix and before that a Sony point and shoot. I love taking pictures, especially on vacation. I am retired, married and have two little grandchildren that are in California. I consider myself a beginner, only because I haven't upgraded my camera. I think this is a great site and I am looking forward to ideas and the knowledge of fellow UHH's.

With so much photo wisdom on the Hog anyone can learn to increase their skills . The first step is really a passion and desire for the art . If you have that and ask questions and stick with it ,post and ask questions I guarantee some one here will be able to help you with any problem .

By the way, your camera doesn't define your level of expertise, it's how you use it that does. A good photographer can take great photos with pretty much any camera they get their hands on.

Hi Flozee, welcome to the hog. Who shot the picture of you in the phone booth? Believe me, its not the camera, the only reason you are a beginner is because you just joined us. Start asking questions and posting more pictures. You will fit right in, in no time at all.
