I was thinking about posting a camera for sale w/ 2 lens and just wandering what would be the best way to get the payment from someone that wants to buy if I sold it.

Paypal would be my guess .. unless they are local then cash always works best. Just meet in a public place for the transaction.
Thanks for the info.I have a paypal account myself, mabe that would be the best bet.Unless they are here in ohio in my area

It's one sure way to know you will get paid ... Paypal is good about that.
I have sold a number of items on e-bay where the buyer did not have a paypal account. I told them I would accept a check but would not send the product until their personal check had cleared my bank. I have heard of people having problems with money orders (usualy offshore) where the money order was cashed but later found out to be a fake. The bank came after the person who cashed it. I do not accept money orders, there is no direct account tied to it.

I accept payment through Paypal even if I sell to a local, because you are assured that when you set up a meeting place and time, they will show up if they have already paid..
I only accept checks and I hold all checks until they clear. This includes cashier's checks and money orders. If it is really expensive, I worry.
No PayPal for me, either.
I sold a lens through this forum and the buyer (a very nice lady from Sturgis, by the way) sent a check and when it cleared, I sent the lens. Sold the lens and made a friend in the process, what a deal!
