Three Birds

Here are three images of birds taken handheld with a Nikon D80 18-135mm lens. All three were cropped. The first photo is of a pigeon on the south shore of Long Island, NY. I had never seen a pigeon wading in salt water before. Photo two was taken at the Maryland shore. Three was photographed at the Marine Nature Study Area in Oceanside, NY. Any comments and/or critique always welcomed.

ISO 800, 135mm F/8 at 1/1000 sec.

The terns you captured here display the essence of the bird, well caught.

Egret is stunning

What kind of bird (tern or gull) is in pic 2? Those are beautiful! Thanks for sharing.

Nice photo's. 2 reminds me of an old married couple, hes' walking a couple paces behind and she's yapping at him.....

They are great shots! I like #3 the best!

Oh wow! I love them all, but Sherrie took the words right out of my mouth about #2 looking like an old married couple waking down the beach.
I'm thinking he said "I think we took a wrong turn" and she's saying "Well, for Pete's sake, stop and ask directions"
