I managed to miss the great slides on my roofs. Steel roofs do that for you. The trick is to make sure you'll be able to exit the house.

The geese generally fly in to the lake in early morning and stay until about 4:30PM. This photo was about that time, when they take off again to the overnight roosting along the river (Elkhorn).

Such nice sharp shots Pat. You seem to always get nice white snow with definition....can't seem to do that and typically use the snow scene setting for my snow shots. I think I should have gone out further into the yard when hubby was blowing us out to get a different perspective of the snow flying.....love your; and as for the treadmill....I really need to move my '.....' and get back on it one of these fine days.

Thanks, Irene. I shoot manual and tend to underexpose my snow shots 1/2 -2 steps. I had a "hood" on the camera too. I use a Neutral density filter for most snow shots (but it didn't fit the lens I used the is morning). I can't go fast on the treadmill any more, but I did get an hour in - and watching some online photo courses at the same time sure makes the time fly and is profitable too. :)

Here' my entry. I guess it meets the criteria. It's a nest-building great blue heron at extreme low altitude.
