As the title suggested, what's the most challenging one to you? Wildlife, sports, portrait, landscape, or Astrophotography? To myself, it is portrait photography. Those everyone can take a good portrait photo, but it is really hard to take impressive one.
My lowest percentage of keepers is from portrait photography. It's either because of lighting, exposure or subject's facial expression. Plus, people can be very difficult, especially in groups. Next lowest percentage of keepers is in sports photography. There it can be focus issues, catching the right moment, positioning relative to the subject, and the usual technicals like shutter speed, aperture and ISO. Btw, with sports photography, it's rarely about frame rate, and I use a minimum of 6fps.
