Asked to have an ID, not required. Advice given as a sensible suggestion. Now before you guys jump me I do support the requirement of a voter ID. I'd like to see it as an endorsement on a licence or state ID.

Is this really a surprise.

A few yrs. ago a delegation from the NAACP went tote UN to protest Voter Photo ID Law. To get there they had to show a photo ID to get on the plane to go there. They had to show a Photo ID to get in the UN Bldg. What are they thinking. The UN doesn't " Run" this Country. They want to " Boss Us," around.

I also support a voter ID law and also think it would be good to have all voters put their finger tip in India ink to make sure that are not using fake ID's to vote the second time or even more.

Yes, we do need the irony police. The photo ID is not a requirement for participating in the protest: it is for dealing with the authorities in case of arrest.

I bet if you had to show an ID to buy lotto tickets, no-one would have any problem getting one.
