Suggestion for Newbies

Hey all you newbies! You won’t find anyone on this site more understanding of your plight than I am after all I’m one of you (a newbie). BUT if you ask for critique then you must expect criticism, right? Nine out of ten will be sincerely offering you the best information they have to offer. Some, like me, are very wordy and try their best to be tactful; others are very direct and to the point. Don’t confuse direct and to the point with rudeness, it’s not. If you think someone is being rude before you get upset look at some of their other posts and you’ll likely find that it’s just their way of responding. This place is packed with great people who truly enjoy helping folks like us so be grateful and appreciate their time and effort. I often ask those who feel we ask dumb questions to just ignore us and move on rather than hurl insults, I would offer you the same advice in regard to responses you find objectionable, ignore them and move on. Treat it like a CD you love but there’s one song you really don’t like so you just skip over it and enjoy the rest of the CD.
I really enjoy this forum and this is an attempt to offer something positive to help others enjoy it too. I know that there will be some who read this and will object. My hope is that they’ll just ignore me and move on but if they choose to post a nasty response that’s ok, it’s a public forum and they have every right to do so. One final thought, don’t post with expectations. For example you may love soccer and place a post expecting folks to get all giddy then you run across a guy like me who’d rather watch paint dry. Remember what they say about opinions and don’t ask a questions if you don’t want answers.
As always JMHO,
Pepper
Disclaimer: Try as I might, I don’t always practice what I preach.

I am one that is direct and to the point, mostly because I'm sneaking on from work or hiding from the kids.

If you are unsure about my tone, feel free to PM me. I'm actually a really nice person... promise!

I concur. I wondered at first :)....but she convinced me.

Besides that...good advice too, not just from MWAC but from lots of decent folks.

Me...I don't give such good advice. I don't know much about anything, but I know a lot about nothin!!!! AND.... I have the greatest sense of humor here....betcha!!!
