Is Picnik really closing?

I just read in my E-mail that picnik will be closing as of April 19th. Does anyone know if any other free editing program will be taking its place?

According the email, most of the functions will be available under picasa. I guess their premium model just did not generate enough revenue.

Thanks for the information about picnik. I use it and was just ready to order the premium edit when I saw the e-mail. Darn.... Glad now that I didn't order it. I just got my first digital camera, a Canon Rebel T3i and trying my best to learn everything about it. Picnik was really a help for me to edit my pictures.
