I really like the starburst in this photo but am still thinking the balance of the image is too dark. Your thoughts?? Thank you for looking.
I agree with you, that's a great starburst. The balance of the image does not appear too dark to me, but I feel a vertical crop might work better. I would crop on the right side to remove the large tree, and on the far left side, at the top point of the angled rock(basically cutting the rock in half). Just a thought.
nice starburst, but the photo is too busy. I would probably crop it vertically so that it is framed by the two trees
Thanks for the imput. I will try a vertical crop. I think I went horizontal to include the surroundings of the cairn. Thanks again.
absolutely gorgeous. I agree with the others, too much business for the starburst. You want your eye to focus on the starburst without the distractions on the side.

Here's a slightly edited version: a few minor crops and some minor adjustments to color, contract, and brightness.

Yes, I like the adjustments. What program do you use for post processing? I currently have PSE 12. Thanks

On this image I used Microsoft Photo Gallery. It's as basic, simple, brainless, bare-bones, and elementary as you can get in a post-processing tool. Eventually, I plan to move up to Photoshop Lightroom.
Nosaj you did a phenomenal edit!. The starburst really pops at you.
