Is photomerge and photostitch one in the same in elements 9? I tried to download free photostitch software online but no luck. Any advice?

photomerge is for merging photos such as hdr, focus stacking, etc. photostitch is for making panorama photos.

yes it does. go to file-new-photomerge panarama. i bought elements book for dummies look at page 517
