As is common, the opinion of one man who cannot afford it.

In a universe in which I will never live, okay, it's a glorified Sony Nex-7, but you'll be the only one in your camera club to have one. I'm surprised you can order thru Amazon if you're slumming, but maybe you can find a used one at Goodwill.

Same reason people will buy a $300,000 Rolls Royce and spend another $100,000 accessorizing.

Same reason Zippo sells an 18 kt gold lighter for $14,000 and it works the same as my $20 one.

I could go on. ;)

In 1956, I bought a Hasselblad 1000F for about $350 with magnifying view finder. I still have it, but would sell!

My point, sorta. You can sell that puppy for several times more dollars (inflation ignored) than what you paid new. That's what you get with top quality.

p.s. - If that includes the film back and lens, you could sell it here in Buy/Sell/Trade for your $350 investment in seconds. 'cause I'd buy it at that price. LOL
