Unfortunately, I didn't save the original photo, but I preferred it in B & W. I have to learn to save the originals whenever I do any post processing! Didn't really view the plant halfway down, but I see what you mean about it being distracting. Should I crop my photo with it (plant) being out completely?

If you are good at that, then by all means try it. Repost!

Composition is good. But as has been said before, plant is distracting, maybe lower position would be more interesting, also a touch brighter. Light on the chairs would give it warmth, even i black and white. Every time you take a picture move to 3 different angles and take the shot again.

Thanks for the advice & for looking. So, do you think I should crop the plant out of the photo?

I agree about the plant being distracting. I found myself ignoring the chairs trying to figure out what that "thing" was. The plant. I like the composition. The photo appears to be a bit underexposed if the chairs are white as they appear gray in the photo. Perhaps increasing the highlight will brighten the chairs while not brightening the rest of the photo.

Thanks for the advice & for looking. So, should I crop out the plant??

Your composition is excellent. You might want to brighten it up little for more impact.

Your brightening looks very good. In my opinion, leaving the flower in the pictures add some interest. A solitary item in a repeating format to me adds dimension, scale and interest.

Thanks for looking & commenting. I've learned that it all boils down to what you as the photographer really likes. I just like getting other's views. I like the brightening up better too. Thanks again. :-)

Hi,
I do like the photo and for my own taste I would crop it out and also the thing on the wall just above the chairs. I like the ailment and think if I was doing that shot I would have used a longer exposure just to make everything that little bit more in focus. We all have things we have to work on and I think your doing good. I think this photo would look good in a panorama type photo to give it a lot of depth. Just a though if you plan on keeping it.

Oh....I thought you were going to go in Photoshop and take it out and leave the rest of the chairs, that's what makes the photo.

The brightening looks a lot better. Did you keep the photo you posted originally? How about lightening that and post it - maybe deepen the shadows to keep the plant in the background? Really hard to tell without seeing the finished product.

As for the depth of field, I'd prefer seeing the first two chairs in focus and the remainders progressively out of focus to show depth. Again, we each have our own tastes too.
