Another color versus b&w

I felt this was my best photograph in 2013. There was an element of luck involved, and an element of planning. I knew an April storm was clearing, and I had positioned myself at a spectacular scenic point. The swirling clouds and constantly changing light were magnificent. The luck involved the elk walking out. Shot at 300 mm on a DX sensor, Nikon D90.

Beautiful capture and I love B&W but I am drawn to the first maybe cause of the blue on the mountain.??

B&W for me, better contrast, the color seems to be distracting... :thumbup: :thumbup:

I prefer the colour because the colours are minimal and the blue better portrays a sense of cold. Good shot

Very nice photo both ways but the B&W is just so special for me.

They are both so good I think you should keep both versions. It's not a case of either/or. It's a case of two for the price of one. :-P
