Eagles at Big Bear

This weekend my husband and I went to Big Bear to see if we could find some eagles to photograph. Poor guy I made him hike all over. We finally saw this nest with two bald eagles by it. I wish I could have gotten them together but it was a first time photographing eagles so I was thrilled! In third picture you will see black birds harassing one of the eagles in the nest. That surprised us. I've got pictures of them flying but I will post them in the BIF section.

Very very nice Terri, well done, enjoyed the. It always amazes me how the smaller birds harass the larger birds, I've seen mockingbirds chasing eagles and ospreys

Thank you for sharing these photos. These are magnificent birds. I have seen the crows harrassing them many times.

I was so excited Linda!!! We have a few around San Diego but they are so far off I can't get a good picture of them. They are beautiful birds. I've also got some pictures of a juvenile eagle flying but I will post them later. My brother was in an accident and so I've been with my family. I miss not being able to see what everyone's posting!

Thank you very much Gregory!!! I was so excited to FINALLY be able to get some pictures of them. They were so beautiful. The female looked like she was twice as big as the male. I also have a few pictures of a juvenile bald eagle.

Thank you Alki!!! I really appreciate your looking at them. They were gorgeous! I had so much fun watching them. I am amazed that the crows would bother them.
