Hi Anyone using the Canon 70D yet?. I'm thinking of upgrading from my 550d soon and wonder if anyone has any experience with this model yet on here, thanks

I'm a Nikon D7100 user, but there are many 70D threads here. Use search and you'll find plenty of commentary on the 70D, which btw., is a great camera.

Had one and couldn't get a sharp image. Could have been a bad camera as the lens works well on other bodies. Bought a 6D and LOVE it!

Upgraded to the 70D from the 40D and love it.

The movie feature is fun to use and I have several short clips that give me a different perspective on my travels with both sight and sound that I can share with others.

The articulating touch screen is very handy. In the closed position the screen is protected. Only question would be how long it will last with all that pivoting going on.

I just got the 70D right before Xmas and I love it. After returning to photography after 20 years I couldn't have asked for a better present. It shoots incrediably sharp pics and with the video I've had some fun with my dogs. I would highly recommend it to anyone who love photography.

What happened to the camera? Did you ever resolve the sharpness problem? Did you ever do that hyper focal thing that it is capable of? I have one and almost feel the same way.

I tried everything and returned it to B&H (the best) and got my FANTASTIC 6DÂ… although I have read the 6D is not the best for video. Luckily, I have no interest in video!

I think I must have just got a "bad camera copy" as others rave about the 70D.

Great camera. Fun to use. You'll love it. Can hardly wait until Canon comes out with the 80D.

Have you tried a different lens on the camera? Your camera issue could be a lens issue.

I have a 60D with the same pivoting screen and leave it face out all the time. I do have a protective skin on it and never had a problem.
