Baby it's cold outside!

What could be done to make this unutterably charming picture better? Hmmm.
There isn't even a color dissonance! All the colors work well together. Are there too many? Too many monster polkadots in too many colors? Well, there might be if one's eye did not go straight to the kid's only sparkling eye, framed in that marvelous lopsided pink fuzzy, and stay there. Can't take my eyes off her eye. Everything else kinda fades away.
Does it say "cold?" Well, put it this way: does it say "faked?" Well, then, yeah, it says "cold," and "fun," and "glorious," and "Lets' go in and have cocoa!"
I pronounce it a perfect picture.

I think the pink frizzy hair and the dark scarf around her neck frame in her face quite nicely. Complimenting that 'framework' is the tail of the dark scarf coming up her right side and then following the snow on the same part of that scarf leads your eyes over to her left to her chin and then up to the snow on her lip and corner of her mouth that brings me up to her well focused(sharp) open eye! The colors all blend in quite nicely even though the geometric shapes of them differ. I think you have a real winner here! I second the thumbs up!

My only nit is the snow on her mouth looks fake.

Love this! Looks like this adorable little one knows how to have fun in the snow and can take getting hit in the face with a snowball... I really have NOTHING to say that would improve this perfect framing/focus/lighting etc,etc,etc... makes me want to go and play in the snow too!
I voted for your entry. You captured the moment perfectly. I loved your colors, your focus is sharp, your soft background fits perfectly with the cold that you are trying to convey. The only thing I would do is clean up her nose in post.
Beautiful picture, AS IS. Very well done.

I would clone out the nasal discharge from her right nostril-- or does that lend itself to the "cold" theme?
Otherwise, a charming photo.
I think everything about this is perfect. I don't think the snow on her mouth looks fake because there is obviously part of that snowball on her hat and her scarf. The expression is priceless. The pink and poke a dots say fun and little girl. If this was my granddaughter I would blow this up and hang it on my wall so I could see her twinkling eyes (yes I know only one shows but I know the other is just as sparkly)ever day.

Cute picture, good exposure and nice background separation, vibrant colors on the subject who is well focused. I, too, would clean up the nostril. 8-)

Also, the story certainly fits the theme. 8-)
Beautiful shot. The only thing I would like to see is just a bit more room around her but this is a very minor composition issue and many would disagree with me. This is an excelent photograph

Don't know where this was taken, but here in Michigan, to see a kid in the snow WITHOUT a nasal drip would look fake! Excellent capture!

That doesn't mean we need to see it in a photograph.
