Try them again and say you want prints from the 127 negatives. Saying you want to process 127 film is different then getting prints or a digital form of the 127 negative. It is worth a try...thanks GP

Recently, while cleaning out my Dad's stuff, I found approx 30 b&w negatives from 1957. WOW. It was a family reunion at our home. Most of the people are gone and these are the only photos I have of most of them.

Now the problem. I cannot find anyone to process them. Tried Wally (walmart) Rite Aid, Walgreens, Adorama, and a few local shops. The snag seems to be the film , 127, no processes this type film.

Does anyone know where I can get photos made?

Thanks in advance.

Watchful,

Since you are copying B&W negatives you can use a common flat bed scanner in Gray scale mode to make copies of all the negatives. You may have to make some type of holder to keep the film flat on the scanner bed.

Set the scan mode to gray scale, high resolution, and leave the bed cover up. You can use any convenient light source; such as, table lamp, florescent lamp, etc. Because it is B&W, and your scan mode is Gray scale the lamp color is not important.

Copy your negatives to a folder on your HD with a file name appropriate to the image. If your scanner has the option to scan and flip the negative image to a positive B%W image, do so before saving.

If you cannot flip the negatives to positive at the scanner you will have to perform this task in Post Processing. There create a sub-folder under the negatives folder and name it B&W. Work on the image files in the B&W folder so you will have ht original scanned files in case something goes wrong during PP.
