Norway is different from Sweden and southern Europe may also not be the same as Denmark.

And I would not bet on East and West Germany having agreed. You can do some more research or carry several plugs but the only way to be sure is to buy locally.

Hi Selmslie, I have been to most European countries including Scandanavia and I have used the simple two pin round plug with no problems, although they sometimes are rather loose when inserted. This type of plug is not suitable for powerful items such as hair dryers or kettles etc.
Cheers,
John.

I also carry a power strip so one adapter can handle several chargers instead of one at a time.

Just got back from Scandanavia. The one I used in Iceland, Sweden and Denmark did not work in Norway without an additional adapter. When I purchased it I was warned that it might not work in Italy or Spain although it looked like the one I used there. Other countries I have visited looked similar. All of Europe seems to be using 220/230/240 volts 50 cycle.

I have not been to Iceland so I wouldn't know about their plugs, but the point to remember is the 220-240 volts which is OK for chargers etc but not for US irons and kettles etc.
Just in case I do take an adapter made by Fuji which plugs into any oulet it also has a USB outlet.

Brilliant!
I'm always trying to save space, but this is a good idea for the next trip. Last time, I had only one adapter, so I had to chose between plugging in the laptop or charging the camera battery.
