While I was at SeaWorld, my eye was caught by these boats pulled up on the shore. My usual style of photography isn't "artsy", but I have seen enough that is, so I thought I'd take a shot at it. Here are 2 versions. Both have good points, but I'd like some feedback on whether they're worth anything. Cropped but not photoshopped in any other way. (The color might need bumping up a little, they were bright colors).
Thanks!

cropped is much better. it got rid of all the unnecessary info like the piling in the left corner. this is a good example of color line and form so it is art.
i agree... the cropped version is much better. art? possibly... bump the colors up a bit, brighten it up some, and frame it!

just needs a little bump in contrast and brighten the colours a little. But that's a personal prefence, I like bright.
I do like the croppd version better.

good. now print it at, oh, say 12x18 and frame it!
Wrong question you are asking. The question you should be asking is "Does this image make you feel anything?" or "What does this image say to you?" or "Can you see any particular meaning in this image".
If these answers provoke a constructive response or better yet discussion then you have art, if not then you just have a colorful snapshot.

arphot your edit is definetly art. I love vibrant colors art deco style and your post processing reveals more of the reflections in the water.

NOW it's Artsy!
MUCH better, imho. :)
Way to go!
(The original photos were fine, but that's all, to me... "fine". They didn't have a lot going for them to keep me looking at them. NOW with the tweaking, I see colors I didn't see before, effects that add texture I didn't see before, etc. ART!)
Now you got something going on with this shot.
I think the saying go "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder", "Art is in the hands of the critics."
Lesson Over.
