Buy a couple of Boogie Boards, head over to 'the wall' at the Diamond Head end of Waikiki, boogie with the locals.

The Halo Koa, know it well. If you haven't been before, waimea bay is where they hold the surf competitions, there is a rain forest on that side of the island as well, snorkeling at Hanauma Bay can be done more than once, hiking up to the pill boxes at Diamond Head, taking surf lesion on Waikiki beach, boogie board over at bellows (military ID needed to get in), you use to be able to rent kayaks over at Hickam AFB, we didn't check into that this year, the lulu at the Halo Koa is top notch, Pearl Harbor and I'd make reservations, as well as the Missouri and do the entire tour there, Dole plantation tour is kinda fun but your boys may find it. . ..juvenile, there is a sunset catamaran cruise that is family friendly, penguins at the Hilton next door and there is an ice cream shop there as well, you can swim with the dolphins on the windward side, there is a dinner cruise that leaves out of Aloha Towers just in front of Hooters that they might enjoy, and check with the desk at the Halo Koa.

If someone didn't mention it, the most-visited tourist attraction is called something like "The Polynesian Visitor's Center" on the north shore.

I second this- it shows all the cultures of the South Pacific in a walk thru village, and has a great buffet of local traditional food with a show of traditional dancing while you eat. Well worth the drive to the far side of the island.

the hike up to the top of Diamond Head is .7 miles and 271 steps up to the top.it is a great hike and the view is unbelivable.do not forget you camera.you can also hike the whole lenth of the beach below diamond head. one thing to remember do not leave anything in sight inside of the car when you are sightseeing cars get broken into all the time there. the cultrue center is a must see you can spend all day there.have a great trip.

The Hawaiian Railway Society http://www.hawaiianrailway.com/ offers train rides over an historic 6 mile stretch of track on the SW corner of Oahu at Ewa Beach. It goes past the new Disney Au'lani resort.

If no one mentioned Hanama Bay near diamond head...it's a must. Snorkeling Galore. Take a lunch. Also on North Shire, Sharks Cove..there's a blow hole there. Also along this stretch you will see a lot of islanders surfing

Thanks so much everyone. What great idea's. Since we are only going to be there for 5 days we will try and squeeze as much in a possible. That way the boys want have time to be bored. And yes I plan on taking lots of photo's. They say Hawaiian Sunrises and Sunsets are meant to be some of the most beautiful in the world.
