I'm on the fence about the shadows... pardon the pun.
But the model's pose is terrific and I adore the expression in her eyes. Your exposure and contrast are very pleasing and so is that b/w crop. Well done!

The more I look at the fence shadows on her fence the more I like it. They almost give the effect of a veil. It is interesting.

Yes! You're right. It's very subliminal, but very effective.

I prefer the B&W of the two, but I would try not to have the shadows from the chain link fence across her face. It detracts from the balance of her facial texture/expression.

I was just about to say this. I do like the B&W better, but I think the crop is too tight, and without seeing the fence in question, the shadows on her face don't belong. If someone is going to model, you definitely don't want to cover up any of their face. She does have a good look to her.

If you look for a minute, you can see the shadow is from a chain link fence. The pattern is complete on her face. It might be better without the shadow, but we might not have talked about it so much without the shadow, either.

I know it's from the fence, but I think it takes away from the model. Maybe if there was a series of pics, some without the shadows, then standing by the fence, then the shadows...it would put it all together, but for just one pic, I would keep the face clear of any shadows.

Just my 2 cents, I am in no way a portrait photographer.

Nor am I, and coming from me, probably worth 1 cent. I like your idea of a series, some without, some with, some by the fence. She's a good model.
