I have many pictures of my babydoll, she used to love to pose for me either with my grandkids or cat. Unfortunately the only 3 pictures of me with her were taken just before we took that long ride to Ozark to the vet. My hubby had us sit under her tree in the front, and I couldn't even look at the camera because I was crying so much.

Thank you Irene. There are so many beautiful pictures on this thread and I hope that it goes on until 2014. I would love to reply to everyone, but I would just rather look at the beauty of the stories our fellow friends are telling through their lenses.

I've been driving all over AR to get to know the country and I'm ashamed to say that I haven't gone to Waterman's Falls at Alma Lake or Down Frog Bayou Management Rd. When I get in the car, I just go. I got some great shots of a pair of eagles at White Oak Park. I've gone almost daily until this crazy weather started and I didn't bring it from LI. HaHaHa

I understand your heartbreak, I came home and it was dark and she didn't come when called and I found her where she would lay in the kitchen so it was the next day before i could attend to her.
I use the Vet on 64 Hwy on the right past the school and am very pleased with them.

Go down Hwy 64 to where you turn right in Mulberry to go to Vine Praire park on 215 but turn left and head up to Shores Lake and the White Rock management area and it will lead you to the cabins on top of the mountain for a fabulous view ( be sure to have a full tank of gas ) or you can also take the pig trail (hwy 23) at the I-40 exit where the new truck stop is located at the Ozark exit.

Is that the vet across from Schoolhouse Prairie? I live in there but I go to Ozark because when I called him at about 5 in the morning he answered his phone and was so compassionate. My dad and my friend told me about him and I am so happy with him and his staff. Although, if I could've brought my vet from LI with me, I would've stuck him in one of the boxes. I've used him for 39 years and we've been through a lot together.

Since I've moved here, I don't let my tank go below 1/2 tank. We've gone to White Rock and I am so glad we took my husbands jeep, I would not like to have my avenger go over those rocks (boulders) and I can't get over how narrow the road gets. Scary.

I, too, have been there while growing up in Arkansas and spent some time in my youth "reflecting" where you like to spend time doing likewise, unable to see but a few hundred feet from where I sat because of the terrain and now I sit here, looking out over an expanse of some 70-75 miles and reflect differently in my old age. Both places hold a vast amount of intrinsic beauty that will equally remain a major part of my psyche. Shot last week with a Canon EOS M, (mirrorless) 18-55 STM IS lens. Please hit download, then magnify, and see the 18mpx file at roughly 1/2 strength.

This is just beautiful, Jo! My dil makes buckeye cookies and they do look just like the real ones! This is the first time I've seen them! Thanks for sharing!
