Christmas Meadow, Utah

Christmas Meadow is a lovely campground south of Evanston,WY on Utah's Mirror Highway (Utah 150). A blue-ribbon trout stream, the Stillwater Fork of the Bear River runs through the meadow. This shot was made just after a summer rainstorm had passed through.

Beautifully stunning photo! Thanks for posting. When was this taken, and did you "employ" any HDR filtering in PP? Awesome colors and setting, I really like the composition too. How ones' eyes are led straight into where the marshy area comes to a narrowing and on into the trees and straight up the mountain. Well done!!! The clouds are phenomenal.

Thanks, Framer. This was a 3-shot bracket made in August 2012. I use PSPX5 for post processing and did use some "light" tone mapping to enhance the shot. The clouds were phenomenal that afternoon.

Bill, the camera was a Nikon D7000 and this shot was made with a Tokina AT-XPro DX 12-12-24mm lens. It was a 3 shot (AFB - 1.7 +/- increment) at F/8.

That looks like a beautifull shot, i think the post production, kinda messed it up,, it's way too much. That's just my humble opinion.

That looks like a beautifull shot, i think the post production, kinda messed it up,, it's way too much. That's just my humble opinion.
