Could you say why you think it is nicely captured? What makes it a good family portrait.?

This is the C & A section. You need to tell us why you think it is a beautiful capture. What do you like about it? The composition? The color? The technique used?

No "Great shots" allowed in this section. You have to tell us why it is a great shot.

The composition is very good, when we were in Florida I took Heron shots and it is difficult to take one bird never mind the three together. I like the angle of the shot as you can clearly see all the birds !!

I like the low angle. It does wonders for making the adult look big, imposing and protective. Two of the chicks if that is the correct term are distracting. Also distracting are the plants around the main subject. I would add some blue to the sky.

Looks like some sharpening may have been done to the birds. They have wonderful detail that might be brought out better by tweaking the levels.

Keep photographing the birds. They are so interesting.

Reminds me of the lyric "First we look to the left then we look to the right". And there is always someone doing it wrong. The things that have me distracted are the heavy branch to the right and the branch touching the beak. Overall a very nice moment in the life of birds.
